ZODIAC
Located in Le Locle (Switzerland), Ariste Calame (the son of a watchmaker) in 1882 founded a workshop to produce specialized watches with his name "Ariste Calame" and it was until 1908 when Calame patents the name Zodiac as a brand; they manufacture their own calibers and movements used in the production of pocket watches. "Calame's dynasty managed to become one of the fastest-growing companies in Switzerland."
Since the founding and with more than a century ago, Zodiac have dedicated themselves to precision and pushing to the limits of design innovation to manufacture not only technical and dynamic timepieces but also quality of Swiss Watches.
From Zodiac Watches website – “With a rich heritage to draw from, Zodiac is singularly focused on designing watches based on our most beloved vintage models and staying true to the original creation. Each watch design maintains the same sense of scale to keep the finished product as historically accurate as possible, then we add contemporary updates and improved functionality. If you held an original and a current model side-by-side, you should be able to see, and feel, the extension from one to the other.”

Aerospace GMT
Automatic Wristwatch
Ref. 752-934
Introduced in 1962, the Zodiac Aerospace GMT was launched following the success of its sibling, the renowned Zodiac Sea Wolf.
Presented here is a remarkable piece of horological history — a Zodiac Aerospace GMT diver’s automatic wristwatch, reference 752-934, dating from the 1960s.
This self-winding timepiece is powered by the original Swiss-made Zodiac automatic movement, caliber 75. It features 17 jewels, a sweep-second hand, a red GMT hand, date display, 12/24-hour scale, day and night indicator, a 40-hour power reserve, and beats at a frequency of 21,600 vph.
Housed in a 35mm stainless steel round case, it is paired with a black and gray Bakelite bidirectional 24-hour rotating bezel, where the two-tone color scheme is designed to differentiate between day and night hours. The watch offers water resistance up to 20 ATM and includes the original Zodiac-signed crown.
The black dial is adorned with silver-tone hour markers, a white minute/second track, and matching silver hands. The red GMT hand operates in sync with the hour hand. A date window is positioned at 3 o'clock. The dial is signed with the Zodiac logo and Aerospace GMT at the top, and Automatic at the bottom.
Completing the look is a two-piece stainless-steel mesh-style strap.
This Zodiac Aerospace GMT diver's automatic wristwatch is an excellent piece to wear daily or to showcase in a vintage collection. It is in very good condition and runs beautifully!

Vintage watches are traditionally smaller than today's watches. Men’s watches typically measure between 29-36mm wide (some larger, some smaller) excluding the crown. In the listing details we typically try to do our best to list all pertinent dimensions of a watch. If you don't see it, or we failed to do so, please reach out to us. Women’s watches from the 1900s-1970s were also much smaller than today's offerings. Please also feel free to ask any questions you have concerning size.
We prefer to take photographs outdoors when the weather allows. However, when shooting indoors, please note that we use lightboxes equipped with 360 LED bulbs, which can magnify any flaws that may be less noticeable to the naked eye. That said, we never use Photoshop to alter our images or remove blemishes. While we may adjust the lighting as needed, what you see is what you get, and we take pride in that.
